Iwould also recommend to you to regularly visit our web sitewhere you can not only find electronic colour copies of thisnewsletter but also relevant communications anddocuments about our school and your child’s education(see page 3).We encourage our students to think of our school as onebig family unit; unfortunately and sadly on New Years Daywe lost one of our family members a student was killed in aroad accident. Many of our students and staff attended thefuneral and several students have seen me regardingsome form of fundraising that we can do during the year inhis name.At our first full school assembly of the year weacknowledged the outstanding results obtained by some ofour Year 10 and 12 students. We stressed to our studentsthat it was not our expectation that we would all be able togain 100% but we did expect all of us to give their besteffort in all lessons, all assessments and tests during theyear. We would like to thank all our students and their familiesfor the effort they have made in starting the new schoolyear in full school uniform. We explained to all studentsthat this would be a transition year for uniform in that it wasour expectation that many of our students would continueto wear the old uniform until such time that those articlesneed replacing and then we expect the replacements to bein accordance with our new uniform.Mr Bob HenryPrincipal, Wauchope High SchoolIMPACT OF OUR SUCCESSFUL 2011 HSCSTUDENTS KEEPS ROLLING ON!Motivation, organization (including a year long calendar), focusand balance were strong messages for the new 2012 Year 12and Year 11 about surviving the HSC year from five 2011 HSCstudents who are now moving into their new career paths.
