GlobalTop TechnologyFGPMMOPA6H Data SheetDocument #Ver. V0A34Details Suggestions Notes5 Before handling the PCBA, they must becooled to 35°C or below after they havegone through the reflow-solderingprocess, in order to prevent positionalshift that might occur when the module isstill hot.6 1. When separating the PCBA panel intoindividual pieces using the V-Cut process, special attentions are needed to ensurethere are sufficient gap between patchantennas so the patch antennas are notin contact with one another.2. If V-Cut process is not available and thepieces must be separated manually, please make sure the operators are notusing excess force which may causerotational offset to the patch antennas.7 When separating panel into individualpieces during latter half of the productionprocess, special attentions are needed toensure the patch antennas do not comein contact with one another in order toprevent chipped corners or positionalshifts.1. Can use electric fansbehind the Reflowmachine to cool themdown.2. Cooling the PCBA canprevent the modulefrom shifting due tofluid effect.1. The blade and thepatch antenna musthave a distance gapgreater than 0.6mm.2. Do not use patchantenna as the leveragepoint when separatingthe panels by hand.Use tray to separateindividual pieces. It is very easy to causepositional offset to themodule and its patchantenna when handling thePCBA under hightemperature.1. Test must be performedfirst to determine if V-Cutprocess is going to be used. There must be enough spaceto ensure the blade andpatch antenna do not touchone another.2. An uneven amount ofmanual force applied to theseparation will likely tocause positional shift inpatch antenna and module. It is possible to chip cornerand/or cause a shift inposition if patch antennascome in contact with eachother.Note: References to patch antenna is referred to GPS modules with integrated Patch-on-topantennas (PA/Gms Module Series), and may not be applicable to all GPS modules. This document is the exclusive property of GlobalTop Tech Inc. and should not be distributed, reproduced, into any other format withoutprior permission of GlobalTop Tech Inc.
