Foxit PhantomPDFUser ManualText Mode – determines whether text is stroked or filled. There are four types of textmodes: Fill Text, Stroke text, Fill then stroke text and Text with no fill and no stroke.1 2 3 41. Fill text 2. Stroke text 3. Fill then stroke text 4. Text with no fill and no strokeCharacter Spacing – inserts uniform spacing between two or more characters inselected text.Word Space – inserts uniform spacing between two or more words in selected text.• Rotate – enter a specified value in text field to rotate the objects. Enter a positive valuelike 30, 60, 90 to rotate the object counter-clockwise; Enter a negative value like-30,-60,-150 to rotate the object clockwise.Shear – allows you to slant objects horizontally.Scale – makes an object bigger or smaller. You can scale horizontally, vertically, orboth.Move to – allows you to set the precise horizontal and vertical position of the objects.98

You are able to mark the text or graphics for Redaction first,and then apply the redaction.Mark for RedactionTo mark the text or graphics for redaction, do the following:• Select Edit > Redaction > Mark for Redaction, and the hand tool changes into a Crossautomatically.• (Optional)Double-click an image to mark an entire image which will be in a red rectangle.• (Optional)Hold the pointer over the text you want to redact and drag a rectangle around it.• The rectangle will be filled with black color once moving close the pointer to the selectedarea.Apply Redactions• You need to apply the redactions after marking the text or graphics you want to redact. Toapply the redaction, do the following:• Select Edit > Redaction > Apply Redaction.• A dialog box pops up to give a warning message and askes if you are sure to apply theredaction or not.• Select Apply after you have marked all content that you want to redact.Search and Remove Text• Select Edit > Redaction > Search and Remove Text.• Type the text you wish to redact into the search dialogue box and select search.• Check the results you want to redact.• Click the button Mark Checked Result for Redaction at the bottom of the search dialoguebox.• Choose “Apply redactions” from menu or tool barTo use the Full Search, please refer to “How to do advanced search”.Note: This operation cannot be undone and the selected content will be removed permanently99
