4 GraphicsSometimes the best way to get a better understanding of a mathematicalstructure is to graph it. Maple can produce several forms of graphs.For instance, some of its plotting capabilities include two-dimensional,three-dimensional, and animated graphs that you can view from any angle.Maple accepts explicit, implicit, and parametric forms, and recognizesmany coordinate systems. Maple’s flexibility allows you to easily manipulategraphs in many situations.4.1 Graphing in Two DimensionsWhen plotting an explicit function, y = f(x), Maple requires the functionand the domain.> plot( sin(x), x=-2*Pi..2*Pi );10.5–6 –4 –2 0 2x4 6–0.5–1Clicking any point in the plot window shows those particular coordinatesof the plot.
