Twodays after <strong>the</strong>re was a thick fog, <strong>and</strong> when at lengthit cleared, <strong>the</strong> " Joly " was nowhere to be seen. <strong>La</strong><strong>Salle</strong> in <strong>the</strong> "Aimable," followed closely by <strong>the</strong>little frigate "Belle," stood westward along <strong>the</strong>coast.
