Thepercentage of residential meters not read by the company or the customer in 6 and 12months for the FE-PA Companies and a panel of other <strong>Pennsylvania</strong> EDCs, for 2006through 2009, is shown on Exhibit XI-7. From 2006 to 2009, the percentage ofresidential meters not read by the company or the customer in 6 months increased forMet-Ed, but remained the same for Penelec and Penn Power. Both Penelec and PennPower are performing slightly better in 2009 than in 2004, but Met-Ed is performingworse. From 2006 to 2009, the percentage of residential meters not read by theCompany or the customer in 12 months remained the same for Met-Ed, Penelec, andPenn Power. Penelec is performing slightly better in 2009 than in 2004, while Met-Edand Penn Power are performing the same.The FE-PA Companies have developed reports to identify residential meters notread in six and twelve months. The reports, which are developed monthly, are used toidentify meters that need to be addressed. Accounts appearing on the reports mayreceive a letter, phone call, and/or be scheduled to obtain a meter reading.- 78 -
