It builds viscosity in the low shear range. The pH of the coating must be > 8 forrheology development. Unlike polyurethane based thickeners, Borchi ® <strong>Gel</strong> A <strong>LA</strong> swells the water in thecoating rather than associating with the binders. Borchi ® <strong>Gel</strong> A <strong>LA</strong> minimizes roller spatter duringapplication of emulsion paints, lacquers and printing inks. Borchi ® <strong>Gel</strong> A <strong>LA</strong> is compatible withpolyurethane and cellulosic thickeners to develop optimum rheological profiles.DosageBorchi ® <strong>Gel</strong> A <strong>LA</strong> can be added directly to the batch as supplied. Typical usage levels in the supplied formare 0.1 - 2.0 % of the total weight of the formula. The exact dosage should be experimentally determined.StorageProtect from the effects of weathering and store at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C.
