Projectoverzicht stars in their eyesDe wereldkampioenschappenvoetbal vinden in 2010 plaatsin Zuid-Afrika. Een land datvolgens velen het mooiste landter wereld is. De mogelijkhedenvoor mensen op het plattelanden in de achterstandswijken zijnechter zeer beperkt door dearmoede en het achterblijvenvan economische ontwikkelingendaar.2010‘Stars in their Eyes’ is een Nederlands project waarinwe voetbaltraining met menselijke toewijding combinerenén waarin we nieuwe kansen voor mensen ophet platteland en in de achterstandswijken creëren.Stars in their Eyes wil een duurzame bijdrage leverenaan het toekomstperspectief van de achtergesteldegemeenschappen van Zuid-Afrika.Bij Stars in their Eyes leeft de overtuiging dat sport hetkrachtigste instrument is waarmee sociale veranderingenin Zuid-Afrika en andere ontwikkelingslandenverwezenlijkt kunnen worden.De doelstelling van Stars in their Eyes is een verbeteringaanbrengen in de leefomstandigheden en deverwezenlijking van nieuwe toekomstdromen van deachtergestelde gemeenschappen In Zuid-Afrika. Ditbereikt Stars in their Eyes door deze Zuid-Afrikaanseachterstandsgemeenschappen een-op-een te verbindenaan Nederlandse gemeenschappen waarin voetbaleen krachtige plaats heeft. Stars in their Eyes geeftprioriteit aan het trainen van gemeenschapscoachesin het “Football for Development” programma van deKNVB. In de benadering van dit programma is hetidentificeren, vormen en trainen van “dream teams”vanuit het platteland en achterstandswijken eenkrachtige en motiverende factor, en zorgt de begeleidingen ondersteuning door coaches van Nederlandseamateurclubs voor een succesvol project.Nieuwe perspectieven voor een brede basis aan mensenzullen uiteindelijk leiden tot sociale stabiliteit en hetverwezenlijking van een vreedzaam bestaan op hetZuid-Afrikaanse platteland en in de achterstandswijkenin de grote steden.Van 19-25 februari 2007 heeft Stars in their Eyes eenpilotproject gepresenteerd in Stellenbosch, Zuid-Afrika. Tijdens dit project is het KNVB programma“Football for Development” aangeboden aan 29coaches afkomstig van het Zuid-Afrikaanse plattelanden achterstandswijken. 6 Nederlandse trainers van 6Nederlandse amateurclubs hebben als praktijkbegeleidersmeegedaan, onder begeleiding van 2 docentenvan de KNVB Academie. De Zuid-Afrikaanse overheiden SAFA (South African Football Association) hebbenals partners in dit project meegedaan, en volle ondersteuningaan alle activiteiten gegeven.Dit rapport geeft een overzicht van ervaringen opgedaantijdens het pilotprogramma, wat een basis heeftgelegd voor een brede toekomststrategie.2010

Rapport pilot project ‘Stars in their eyes’A / Algemeen overzichtB / SamenwerkingsmodelDe participerende coaches (Nederland en Zuid-Afrika)zijn het eens dat het pilot zeer geslaagd, en succesvolwas in het bijbrengen van een nieuw model voor hetjeugdvoetbal in Zuid-Afrika. Een model waarin het 4x4systeem, mini toernooien en voetbal gekoppeld aan‘life skills’ centraal staan.Alle noodzakelijk ingrediënten om het pilot te latenslagen waren dan ook aanwezig: een goed en internationaalbewezen lespakket van de KNVB, bekwame,internationaal ervaren KNVB docenten, gemotiveerdeZuid-Afrikaanse coaches uit de achterstandswijken,Nederlandse coaches/praktijkbegeleiders met zeerbrede ervaring, een sterk organisatieteam, en intensievemediablootstelling.De benodigde ‘exposure’ van het project (een belangrijkdoel van het pilot) mag ook als een groot succes wordenbeschouwd, zowel voor Nederland als Zuid-Afrika.De artikelen in het Algemeen Dagblad, de Nederlandseregionale kranten, de Zuid-Afrikaanse kranten, de Zuid-Afrikaanse radiozenders en ook de weblog hebben hieraan sterk bijgedragen.De grote getallen aanwezige Zuid-Afrikaanse VIP’s (circa150) bij de ‘launch’ in Stellenbosch op maandagavond19 februari laat zien dat dit project een breed draagvlak,en dus een goede kans van slagen heeft.Dit project was een unieke combinatie van samenwerkingtussen en inbreng van:• Strars in their Eyes, een Nederlandse Stichting;• De KNVB;• De provinciale overheid van de Westelijke Kaapprovincie;• SAFA (South African Football Association);• 6 Nederlandse amateur voetbalverenigingen:- BVV Barendrecht- SV Nootdorp- CVV Blauw Wit 34- RKSV Bekkerveld- RKSV Nuenen- VV Strijen• Mathare Youth Sports Association, een Keniaansevoetbalstichting;• Kalusha Bwalya Foundation, een Zambiaanse stichting;• Spur Steak Restaurants, Zuid-Afrika’s grootste restaurantketen,samen met hun dienstverlener Sport 4 U;• Department Sportwetenschappen van de UniversiteitStellenbosch; en• Lokale sportverenigingen in Zuid-Afrika.De samenwerking met specifiek de KNVB Academieis zeer bevredigend verlopen, en Johan van Geijn (InternationaleProjecten KNVB) en zijn docenten hebbenzich te alle tijden professioneel en in echte ‘partnership’opgesteld.Al met al 10 intensieve dagen die goed georganiseerd,leerzaam en voorzien waren van de nodige humor.Dit zowel voor de Nederlandse coaches, de Zuid-Afrikaansecoaches als voor de participerende kinderen.Ook de samenwerking met de 6 Nederlandse amateurvoetbalverenigingenmoet als uitstekend wordenbestempeld. Ondersteuning vanuit de besturen en deenthousiasme van de trainers maakten de organisatieen het bereiken van doelstellingen veel makkelijker.2010

Het moet mogelijk zijn om de coachesinstrumenten mee te geven om vooral de jeugd spelenderwijsmet deze materie in aanraking te laten komen.De huidige opzet voorzag hier niet voldoende in.ze alleen groeien als ze doorlopende support van deNederlandse coaches krijgen. Communicatiemogelijkhedenmet de Zuid-Afrikaanse coaches moeten dusop korte termijn uitgekristalliseerd worden. Van deZuid-Afrikaanse coaches hadden sommige weinig metinternet en hadden dan ook geen e-mailadressen.E / Zuid-Afrikaanse coaches:selectieDe selectie van de participerende Zuid-Afrikaansecoaches is door de Zuid-Afrikaanse overheid, in samenwerkingmet SAFA (South African Football Association)gedaan. Deze selectie kan ook als zeer goedbestempeld worden. Criteria waren onder anderendat de participerende gemeenschappen duidelijk alsachterstandsgemeenschappen bestempeld kondenworden, dat er een voetbalveld beschikbaar was, dater al (formeel of informeel) gevoetbald werd, en dat degemeenschap het project Stars in their Eyes ondersteunde.Op enkele uitzonderingen na, was de overgrote meerderheidvan de coaches zeer leergierig, intelligent, enook in staat om het model van het leslokaal naar depraktijk over te brengen. Stars in their Eyes heeft ookgeconcludeerd dat toekomstige selecties van coachesabsoluut op basis van de specifieke behoeftes vanindividuele gemeenschappen gedaan moet worden.Sommige gemeenschappen hebben aan een of tweecoaches voldoende, anderen kunnen zeer zeker 8coaches gebruiken.F / Zuid-Afrikaanse coaches:communicatieDe coaches vanuit de 6 gemeenschappen waren zeergemotiveerd na afloop van de cursus, echter kunnenUiteraard hebben zij onze e-mailadressen wel, en er isafgesproken dat de coaches die geen mogelijkhedentot e-mail hebben, ons regelmatig zullen mailen vanafeen e-mailadres van een vriend.Aan ons is nu de taak om deze mensen te assisterenom ook werkelijke communicatiemogelijkheden te ontwikkelenen contacten te onderhouden. De Universiteitvan Stellenbosch, en Dr. Gary Vorster van Sport 4 Uhebben aangeboden om hierin een rol te spelen, ende eerste aanzetten te doen. Zie in dit verband ook decommentaar onder Punt N.G / Spur coaches:ook goed gemotiveerdSpur Steak Ranches is Zuid-Afrika’s grootste restaurantketen,en heeft een eigen voetbalproject genaamd“Masidlale/Let’s Play!”. In dit project presenteren 10trainers op ad hoc basis “fun-voetbaldagen” voor kinderenover het hele land. De coaches hebben weinigformele training gehad, en Stars in their Eyes zag in ineen samenwerking alleen maar voordelen. Spur SteakRanches is landswijd gevestigd, doen veel aan voetbalbewustwordingonder de lokale gemeenschappen, enhebben ook uitgebreide contacten in de sportwereld.Stars in their Eyes en Spur Steak Ranches hebbenvervolgens een overeenkomst gemaakt, waarin de 10Spur-trainers aan de Stars in their Eyes cursus zoudenmeedoen, met als tegenprestatie dat Spur Steak Ranchesde laatste dag van de cursus zou sponsoren.2010

Sommige Spur coaches waren zeer gemotiveerd enbetrokken, anderen helaas niet. Bij het ‘beoordelen’van deze coaches moet dan ook ‘man en paard’worden genoemd, anders worden een aantal zeerbekwame en gemotiveerde coaches tekort gedaan.Ook voor hen zijn dit skills die direct toepasbaar zijnin hun dagelijks functioneren als Spur ‘Masidlale-Let’sPlay’ coach.Er moet echter duidelijk onderscheid gemaakt wordentussen de Stars in their Eyes-coaches en de Spurcoaches.Stars in their Eyes-coaches zijn 100%gefocus op gemeenschapsontwikkeling, terwijl deSpur-coaches meer op ad hoc basis op schoolniveauingezet worden.Na afloop van de Stars in their Eyes-cursus zijn erechter duidelijke signalen vanuit de Spur-organisatiegekomen dat het Stars in their Eyes-lespakket enbenadering men zeer aanspreekt. Aangezien SpurSteak restaurants meer dan 300 filialen over het heleZuid-Afrika hebben, wordt er nu gekeken hoe men hetStars in their Eyes-concept van gemeenschapsontwikkelingdoor middel van voetbal, kan koppelen aan denationale betrokkenheid van Spur.H / African Brothers FootballAcademyCraig Hepburn is een Zuid-Afrikaanse oud-voetballer,en zet zich over de afgelopen 10 jaar in om doormiddel van voetbal, kinderen uit de achterstandswijken(specifiek straatkinderen) een betere toekomst tegeven. Craig heeft veel werk gedaan in Houtbaai, eenvan de Stars in their Eyes gemeenschappen. Craigwas op gegeven moment in een doodloopstraat, enhet werd voor hem alsmaar moeilijker om zijn organisatiestaande te houden. Stars in their Eyes heeftvervolgens aangeboden om Craig en een collegavanuit de township van Houtbaai mee te laten doenaan de cursus.Beide Craig Hepburne en Maduna Ndude waren zeerenthousiast. De ouderdom van Maduna (70) was weleen beperkende factor in de praktijkoefeningen, maarhij heeft naar eigen zeggen veel geleerd.Het initiatief van Craig is prijzenswaardig, alleen is zijnfocus zeer uitgebreid, en hierin schuilt ook een gevaar.Bezig zijn met te veel activiteiten en initiatieven kanook ertoe leiden dat men houvast verliest op datgenedat het meest belangrijk is.Stars in their Eyes heeft aangeboden om de AfricanBrothers Football Academy behulpzaam te zijn in hetstructureren van een businessplan dat tot voordeelvan beide partijen zal strekken.I / Organisatie hele trip:vrijwel vlekkeloosDe organisatie rondom de hele trip was zeer goed, enverliep zonder problemen. De voorbereiding welk overeen periode van 12 maanden uitgespreid was, heeftduidelijk voordelen gebracht.Ook een bijzonder slagvaardig projectteam (UniversiteitStellenbosch, Stichting Satrs in their Eyes, MinisterieSport, Spur) maakte het mogelijk voor de cursisten omzonder problemen te functioneren. Een beperkt, maarinhoudelijke sociaal programma zorgde voor de nodigeontspanning na fysiek zware dagen.Het was jammer dat de Nederlandse coaches niet als geheleploeg bij elkaar in het gastehuis waren ondergebracht.3 coaches waren in een appartement tegenover het gastehuisondergebracht, dit als gevolg van een misverstandaan de zijde van de organiserende Zuid-Afrikaanse partner.2010

J / Televisieconcept: krachtmoet nog blijkenHet vrijwillige productieteam bestaande uit ChrisEverts en Alle van der Wal, maakte tijdens het bezoekopnames van meer dan 10 uur. Hieruit is al een kortepromotiefilm gemaakt, dat zeer goed ontvangen wordt.Deze film zal zeer belangrijk worden in het kader vansponsorwerving, en kan ook met groot effect gebruiktworden op regionale zenders. De Nederlandsecoaches worden aangespoord om deze film aan deregionale zenders aan te bieden. Vervolgens werkenChris en Alle momenteel aan een korte ‘aandachtspakker’van 2 minuten, en een uitgebreide documentairevan circa 30 minuten. Er is al toenadering tot Stars intheir Eyes gezocht door NOVA en 4 In Het Land, endeze contacten zullen verder worden voortgezet in dekomende maand(en).een spraakmakende website, waarmee de interessevan bezoekers tot de maximum geëxploiteerd zal worden.Een belangrijke factor zal ook zijn het plaatsenvan de promotiefilm op de website.L / VoetbalmodelHet was snel duidelijk dat het Nederlandse model van‘4 tegen 4’ een zeer brede toepassing in Zuid-Afrikaheeft. Over het algemeen is voetbaltraining in Zuid-Afrika beperkt tot 2 ploegen van 11 man, variërendvan 8 jaar tot 28 jaar. De grotere spelers voetballen,de kleintjes rennen er achter de bal aan, maar komennauwelijks in contact met de bal. De eerste ‘4 tegen 4’trainingen/wedstrijden waren dan ook ware ‘eye openers’voor zowel coaches als spelers. Als voorbeeldwordt het volgende gebruikt:K / Weblog: goed instrumentvoor commitment van eigenverenigingDe dagelijkse weblog (www.freedomstars2007.blogspot.com)heeft ook bijgedragen aan de blootstellingvan het project, maar vooral ook aan de commitmentbinnen de Nederlandse verenigingen. Om deze redenendienen in eventuele vervolgprojecten ook weblogste worden bijgehouden. Wellicht is het handig omdeze weblog(s) te koppelen aan de officiële websitewww.freedomstars.nl. Dit maakt het allemaal wel watoverzichtelijker.Het is wel van uiterst belang dat de Stars in their Eyeswebsite voortaan onder de naam starsintheireyes.nlzal functioneren. Ook is de huidige inhoud en vormgevingniet meer voldoende om interesse te wekken ente behouden.Speciale aandacht moet uitgaan naar het vestigen van“Normally, the game of football consists of two teamsof 11 players on a field. With the 4 x 4 model, oneproperly trained community coach can:• Mobilise 50-80 players in a 4 x 4 tournament;• Mobilise 100-200 spectators to watch the tournament;• Inform 300 members of the community about issuessuch as HIV-Aids prevention, health and nutrition,gender equality, etc”Persoonlijke bezoeken door Stars in their Eyes naafloop van het pilot heeft aangetoond dat daar waarhet model geïmplementeerd is, deelname aan voetbaltrainingdoor de gemeenschap substantieel omhoogis gegaan.102010

M / Overheidssteunin Zuid-AfrikaDe Minister van Sport en Cultuur van de WestelijkeKaapprovincie, Whitey Jacobs, was en blijft een zeerbelangrijke partner in het project. Niet alleen heeft zijnministerie een financiële bijdragen aan het pilot cursusgeleverd, ook is door zijn enthousiasme voor het projecteen breed draagvlak in de nationale overheid vanZuid-Afrika gecreëerd.In de periode van de cursus, is er een bezoek geweestvan een parlementaire commissie over sport engemeenschapsontwikkeling. De commissie sprak uitgebreidmet de Zuid-Afrikaanse cursisten, de KNVBleiding,de Nederlandse coaches en het Stars in theirEyes-bestuur. De conclusie was dat het Stars in theirEyes-concept volledig aansluit bij de doelstellingen vanoverheid met betrekking tot gemeenschapsontwikkelingdoor middel van sport.Op dinsdag 13 maart heeft Minister Whitey Jacobs (Sporten Cultuur) een uitgebreide presentatie aan het parlementgedaan, waarin het Stars in their Eyes-concept als vlaggenschipvoor de 2010-strategie is aangedragen. Allepartijen hebben het Stars in their Eyes-initiatief geapplaudisseerd,en zich als overheid gecommitteerd om mee tewerken aan het voortzetten van het project.N / GemeenschapsontwikkelingHet is inmiddels overduidelijk geworden dat veelaandacht moet uitgaan naar het ondersteunen vancoaches in hun streven om ‘echte’ gemeenschapsontwikkelingdoor middel van hun activiteiten te introduceren.Om deze reden zal een specialist op het gebiedvan lokale overheden, per direct worden ingezet omalle gemeenschappen te bezoeken, en samen metde lokale overheidsfunctionarissen te kijken naar eenondersteuningsmodel voor de coaches.Voorts is de koppeling naar de participerende Nederlandseamateurverenigingen de spil waarom allesdraait. Deze verenigingen moeten op zeer korte termijneen binding krijgen met de Zuid-Afrikaanse gemeenschappenwaaraan zij gekoppeld zijn, zodat begripvoor de achterstandsproblematiek en een goedeverstandhouding gekweekt kunnen worden.Stars in their Eyes moet op korte termijn ervoor zorgdragen dat de lokale overheden in de desbetreffende6 Zuid-Afrikaanse gemeenten duidelijke informatieover het project, en de doelstellingen moeten krijgen.Hierdoor kan er draagvlak voor de activiteiten van deZuid-Afrikaanse coaches gecreëerd worden, en kanop een eenvoudige wijze oplossingen voor de communicatieproblemengevonden worden.O / Terugkoppeling naar de 6NL clubs: onduidelijk maarverdient wel urgente aandachtDe een-op-een terugkoppeling door Stars in their Eyesnaar de Nederlandse clubs is nog niet gebeurd. Ditis wel van uiterst belang voor de vrijwilligers op dezeclubs. Ook dient de documentaire zo spoedig mogelijkop de clubs te worden vertoond, zodat het heleproject meer gaat leven op de NL club. Een presentatiedoor Nic Jooste over het gehele pilot zal sterkbijdragen aan de commitment van de deelnemendeverenigingen.Wellicht kunnen ook dingen als een Stars in theirEyes- nieuwsbrief, (via de website van de vereniging),flyers en banners, enzovoorts ook hieraan bijdragen.Red Crossmedia Creatives, een zogenaamde ‘fullservice’ communicatiebureau, zal in de komende wekenbelangeloos meewerken aan het creëren van eengedegen communicatieplan.112010

Op 13 april 2007 werd een terugkomdag bij de KNVBgeorganiseerd, dat door alle participerende verenigingenen organisatie was bijgewoond. Het doel was omde opgedane ervaringen gedurende de reis terug tekoppelen, te onderzoeken hoe contacten met Zuid-Afrikaanse coaches in de periode na afloop van decursus geëvalueerd kunnen worden, hoe de instellingvan de Nederlandse verenigingen is, nu dat de coachesterug zijn, enzovoorts.Aanwezig waren:KNVBSV NootdorpBVV BarendrechtVV StrijenCVV Blauw Wit 34RKSV BekkerveldRKSV NuenenStichting Stars in their EyesChris Everts MediaAlle commentaar en suggesties zijn in dit rapportverwerkt, maar enkele aspecten behoeven duidelijkeaandacht.• Het ontbreekt nog bij de Nederlandse clubs cqgemeenschappen aan duidelijke ‘binding’ met departnergemeenschappen in Zuid-Afrika. Dit wegenshet feit dat er nog geen werkbezoeken door deNederlandse coaches aan ‘hun’ Zuid-Afrikaanse gemeenschappenis geweest. Hierdoor is het moeilijkvoor de Nederlandse trainers om (sponsor)-initiatievenbinnen de eigen verenigingen te ontplooien,waarmee er aan de Zuid-Afrikaanse gemeenschappengegeven kunnen worden. Het is dus van grootbelang dat de Nederlandse trainers (en verkieslijkook enkele leden van hun verenigingen) op kortetermijn een bezoek aan de desbetreffende Zuid-Afrikaansegemeenschappen moeten brengen.• Het ontbreekt bij de Zuid-Afrikaanse gemeenschappenaan ondernemers- en/of leiderschapsvaardigheden.Hierdoor krijgt men het niet voor elkaar omde betrokkenheid van lokale overheden, zakenkamersen andere partijen te krijgen. Het voorgaandevoorgestelde bezoek zou zonder moeite ook een rolkunnen spelen in het ‘empowerment’ van de lokalecoaches, door de Nederlandse afvaardiging(en)samen met de Zuid-Afrikaanse coaches gesprekkenmet lokale overheden, zakenkamers edm te latenvoeren. Zoals tijdens de terugkomdag gesteld:“Wij Nederlanders krijgen dingen voor elkaar!”.• Het ontbreekt bij de Nederlandse clubs aan duidelijkheidmet betrekking tot de toekomstverwachtingenvan Stars in their Eyes. Wat zijn de minimaleeisen voor de periode 2007-2010? Wat zoudenclubs nog meer kunnen doen? Door de minimaleeisen in kaart te brengen, zal Stars in their Eyes ookde weten komen wat de inspanning van de clubsmoet zijn en wat financieel nodig is. Dit zal ookbepalend zijn in het vaststellen van het uiteindelijkeaantal deelnemers.• Alle deelnemers aan de terugkomdag zijn het eensdat de doelstelling voor alle gemeenschappen gelijkis, namelijk het via voetbal ontwikkelen van achterstandsgemeenschappen.Dat door verschillendeomstandigheden de weg er naar toe kan verschillenmag duidelijk zijn. De ervaringen met bij voorbeeldHoutbaai, waar Stars in their Eyes in een korte periodevan tijd tot een krachtig gemeenschapsontwikkelingsprojectheeft geleiden, moet in kaart gebrachtworden en met de andere deelnemers gecommuniceerdworden. Zo hoeft het wiel niet in iederegemeenschap opnieuw uitgevonden te worden.• De Nederlandse clubs willen op korte termijn eenStars in their Eyes-avond bij iedere club organiseren,zodat de volle omvang van het project, de bereikteresultaten, en de verwachtingen naar de toekomsttoe gepresenteerd moeten worden. Bedoeling moetzijn om de Nederlandse clubs en gemeenschap-122010

pen een duidelijk houvast te geven op wat ‘hun’gemeenschappen nodig hebben om op korte termijnresultaten te boeken, en hoe wij de gezamenlijkeinspanningen zo effectief mogelijk kunnen structureren.Stars in their Eyes is momenteel bezig met eeninventarisatie van de situaties in de Zuid-Afrikaansegemeenschappen, en het is de bedoeling dat wijhiermee de Nederlandse clubs in staat zullen stellenom zelf de nodige initiatieven te ontplooien.P / VervolgAfrikaanse coaches (reis, verblijf);• Kosten van het onderhouden van de Stichting Starsin their Eyes, inclusief (marketing)-activiteiten dienodig zijn om de volle potentiaal van het project teontplooien, en de gestelde resultaten te bereiken.De focus van de te ontwikkelen sponsorstrategie isom verschillende partijen bij elkaar te brengen, opdater toegevoegde waarde voor alle partijen EN eenduurzaam ontwikkelingsproject met aantoonbareresultaten ontstaat.Stars in their Eyes in their Eyes is momenteel in gesprekmet een aantal organisaties ten behoeve van het opstellenvan een gedegen sponsorstrategie. Het doel vandeze strategie zal zijn om een solide dekkingsplan voorde vervolgfase van het project te creëren. Given the proper training, life skills enhancementand the right breaks some of these players couldbecome household names by 2010.However, a structuredprogram now needs to be put in place to giveparticipants more than an even chance of succeeding.A curriculum that teaches life skills and gives participantsthe opportunity to add to their formal educationby getting certificates for courses completed shouldbe considered.We would urge that the first 18 coaches be fullydeveloped and their communities brought on board ona fast-track basis. Talking of legitimacy, the communitiesfrom which the18 coaches were sourced need tobecome involved with StÍrs in their Eyes. More politicalbuy-in from the three spheres of government, local,provincial and national, will also be necessary.Distict7 Communications is committed to supportingStÍrs in their Eyes. Apart from our media skills, our politicalnetworking skills and understanding of differentcommunities place us in a favourable position to workwith Stars in their Eyes. My firstexperience was being invited to attend a football practicefor the ladies team at the University of Cape Townto consider me taking the job as head coach. Fortunately, my car is always equipped withballs, cones, bibs and the passion to get people playingfootball.Had it not been for the course, and the amazing 4x4concept we where taught and experienced, the sessioncould have been a disaster.
