One team practice a week is scheduled, and afterthat, skaters train on the rink's daily freestyle sessions by signing in at timesthat fit into their academic schedules. There is no limit to the number ofsessions per week, but three hours is required. Skaters have at least one30 minute private lesson per week and can request additional lessons,schedules permitting. SHU covers all ice time, competition entry fees andtransportation expenses. The team funds very aggressively and uses thefunds to cover additional lodging and equipment expenses. We have teampractice once a week on Thursday mornings, and skaters are expectedto practice on their own additionally. Though all skaters can join/becomemembers of the team, skaters must try out for competition starts in orderto compete during the season.
