C. Trouble Shooting GuideAlarm Messages are shown one at a time in priority order. The message closest to the top of this list is displayed first. Followingmessages are not show until the higher priority message has cleared. All alarm messages are also stored in the fault history.LCD DisplayAlarm MessageLow Water LevelOff SwitchLow Water FlowFuel LimitHigh Temp LimitLow Air FlowFSG FaultOutlet Temp FailInlet Temp FailOA Temp FailRecommendedActionManually Reset the LowWater CutoffTurn Burner Switch OnEnsure Water heaterPump is Running andWater heaterWater Flow isUnobstructedManually Reset the FuelPressure SwitchManually Reset theHigh TemperatureAquastatCheck Combustion AirBlower and AirPressure SwitchSettings and WiringManually ResetRequired, Refer toFlame SafeguardManualCorrective ActionsCheck Wiring andSensorCheck Wiring andSensorCheck Wiring andSensorExplanationLow Water Cutoff SwitchWhen this option is configured and an instrument is installed, the manual resetlow water safety relay is preventing the water heater from starting. If terminal(LC) does not receive power and the Call For Heat output (CH) is powered the“Low Water Level” Message is displayed.Burner Switch is OffControl switch is in the OFF position and is preventing the water heater fromstarting. If terminal (OO) does not receive power and the Call For Heat output(CH) is powered the “OFF Switch” Message is displayed.Low Water Flow SwitchLow water flow is preventing the water heater from starting. If terminal (WF) doesnotreceive power and the Call For Heat output (CH) is powered the “Low WaterFlow” Message is displayed.Low or High Gas Pressure SwitchThe low or high gas pressure switch is preventing the water heater from starting.Ifterminal (GP) does not receive power and the Call For Heat output (CH) ispowered the “Fuel Limit” Message is displayed.High Limit TemperatureThe high temperature limit (HL) (and operational temperature limit whenprovided) aquastat is preventing a water heater start. If terminal (HL) does notreceive power and the Call For Heat output (CH) is powered the “High TempLimit”Message is displayed.Low Air Flow or Blocked Vent Switch Not MadeThe air flow (and blocked vent switch when provided) is preventing a water heaterstart. If terminal (CA) does not receive power and the Call For Heat output (CH)ispowered the “Low Air Flow” Message is displayed.Flame Safeguard FaultThe Flame Safeguard is preventing a water heater start. If terminal (AL) receivespower at any time, the “Flame Failure” Message is displayed.Water heater Outlet Temperature Sensor FailThe water heater outlet temperature sensor is not connected or is reading aboveor below a valid range. When the water heater outlet sensor fails and the OutletSensor mode was selected the control will transfer to Lost Sensor Blind Mode.Water heater Inlet Temperature Sensor FailThe water heater inlet temperature sensor is not connected or is reading aboveor below a valid range. When the water heater inlet sensor fails the mixing valveoutput will drive to 0% and low temperature alarm and maximum water differential(water heater outlet minus water heater inlet) temperature hold are disabled.Outside Air Temperature Sensor FailThe outside air sensor is configured and is not connected or is reading above orbelow a valid range. When the outside air sensor fails the warm weather shutdown(WWSD) and outside air reset control logics are disabled.46
