66 <strong>The</strong> <strong>Changeless</strong> <strong>Nature</strong>143 Thus the nine impurities, desire etc.,correspond to the lotus and the rest.<strong>The</strong> buddha-nature correspondsto the buddha and so onbeing the three natures' union.144 Its three natures are the dharmakaya,the suchness and the potential.<strong>The</strong>se should be understood respectivelythrough the three, one and five examples.145 <strong>The</strong> dharmakaya should be known as two:the perfectly immaculate dharmadhatuand the favourable conditions for this —the teachings in their profound and manifold aspects.146 As it transcends the world,there is no example for itmanifest within the world,therefore it has been representedby corresponding the essenceto the tathagata's form.147 <strong>The</strong> teachings in their aspect subtle and deepshould be known as like honey's taste uniquewhilst the teachings in their manifold aspectas like grains within their various husks.148 Suchness is said to be similarto the substance of goldbecause this essence is immutable,perfectly pure and most noble.149 One should know the potential as having aspects two,similar to the treasure and the tree grown from the fruit:that since beginningless time naturally-presentand that perfected through proper cultivation.
