The Three Jewels 25In the ultimate sense, only the Buddha is the true refuge forbeings because the Great Victor is the embodiment of dharma(dharmakaya) and because the dharmakaya's qualities are alsothe ultimate attainment of the sangha.The refuges are called 'rare and supreme' 29 because:their occurrence is most rare,,they are stainless,they are powerful,they are the ornament of the world,they are the best possible thing andthey are changeless.
