ATTRIBUTION OF QUALITIES<strong>The</strong> basis for acquiring fulfilment for oneself is the embodiment ofthe ultimate truth (paramarthakaya). <strong>The</strong> symbolic embodiments ofthe great sages (samvrtikaya) are the basis for the best possible benefittingof sentient beings.<strong>The</strong> first of these is endowed with the qualities of freedom 2 i. e.the powers and so forth. <strong>The</strong> second is endowed with the qualities ofmaturity 2 — the marks of a perfect being.
