Enlightenment 95the 'Realm of Great Joy' (1), enters his royal mother's womb (2), andthen is nobly born in Earth (3).Perfectly skilled in every science and craft (4), then delighting inhis royal consorts' company (5), he renounces (worldly life) (6) andpractises the path of difficulty (7). Having gone to the place known as'The Very Heart of Enlightenment' 30 (8), he there vanquishes thehosts of Mara (9). Then he achieves perfect enlightenment (10), turnsthe wheel of dharma (11) and passes into nirvana (12). In all thoseplaces, so impure, the nirmanakaya shows these deeds as long asworlds endure 31function of these manifestations — progressive training of beingsa. Knowing the means for training beings (through such terms as'impermanence', 'suffering', 'no-self and 'peace' 32 ), the nirmanakayainstils weariness with samsara in all beings in the three worlds 33 , thuscausing them to truly enter the path to nirvana.b. Through authentic teachings, such as the 'White Lotus Sutra' 34and others, the nirmanakaya shows the true nature of all phenomenato those (sravakas and pratyekabuddhas) who have genuinely enteredthe path to peace but think (mistakenly) that they have alreadyreached nirvana. The nirmanakaya makes them turn away from theirformer belief and, having requested them to adopt skilful means(upaya) and wisdom (prajna), brings them to maturity within thesupreme yana 35 .c. These kayas are respectively known as 'the deep one', 'the vastone', and 'the one great by nature', being profound, the best possibleability to help beings and cleverest guidance for the immature 36according to their specific needs.
