MyWay cards are the convenient and rechargeable newticketing system on ACTION buses. While cash fares willstill be in use, you will no longer to be able to use the oldmagnetic strip tickets from Monday 11 April 2011.The cards can be recharged via autoload (direct debit) or byusing BPAY so you can set and forget and also automaticallysave 5% on your bus fares. You can also recharge themonline, at recharge agents located across Canberra, MyWayCentres and Canberra Connect Shopfronts.To ensure the cheapest available fare is applied andto help provide information to plan a better bus network,you will just need to tag on against the card reader whenyou board the bus and tag off when you exit the bus. Inmost cases this does not even require you to remove thecard from your purse or wallet. To help with this transition,MyWay users will not be charged a default fare when theyforget to tag off until 30 June 2011.$20 pre-loaded MyWay cards are available online andfrom recharge agents across Canberra, MyWay Centres,Canberra Connect Shopfronts and most of the currentACTION ticket agents.The cards can be registered so they can be cancelled ifthey are lost or stolen and have any balance remainingtransferred to a new card.To find out more, including where you can get a MyWaycard and how to transfer the balance on your old ticket,visit the transport.act.gov.au website or call 13 17 10.MyWay is the onlyway from Monday11 April 2011Publishing Services 11/0238
