Priority List <strong>of</strong> C<strong>on</strong>tam<strong>in</strong>ants and Naturally Occurr<strong>in</strong>g Toxicants for Evaluati<strong>on</strong> by JECFA (para.93, Appendix V)The Priority List <strong>of</strong> C<strong>on</strong>tam<strong>in</strong>ants and Naturally Occurr<strong>in</strong>g Toxicants for Evaluati<strong>on</strong> by the Jo<strong>in</strong>t FAO/WHOExpert <str<strong>on</strong>g>Committee</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>on</strong> <strong>Food</strong> Additives (JECFA) has been endorsed by the <str<strong>on</strong>g>Codex</str<strong>on</strong>g> <str<strong>on</strong>g>Committee</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>on</strong> C<strong>on</strong>tam<strong>in</strong>ants<strong>in</strong> <strong><strong>Food</strong>s</strong> as <strong>in</strong>dicated <strong>in</strong> para. 93 and presented <strong>in</strong> Appendix V <strong>of</strong> this Report. Submissi<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> commentsand/or <strong>in</strong>formati<strong>on</strong> is requested as follows:−Comments <strong>on</strong> substances that are already <strong>in</strong>cluded <strong>in</strong> the Priority List (<strong>in</strong>formati<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> dataavailability <strong>of</strong> those substances should also be submitted where applicable); and/or− Nom<strong>in</strong>ati<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> new substances for the Priority List (<strong>in</strong>formati<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> details <strong>of</strong> new substances,expected timel<strong>in</strong>e for data availability should also be submitted).For the sec<strong>on</strong>d bullet po<strong>in</strong>t, it is requested to fill <strong>in</strong> the form as c<strong>on</strong>ta<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> Appendix VI <strong>of</strong> this Report.Governments and <strong>in</strong>ternati<strong>on</strong>al organizati<strong>on</strong>s wish<strong>in</strong>g to submit comments and/or <strong>in</strong>formati<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> the PriorityList <strong>of</strong> C<strong>on</strong>tam<strong>in</strong>ants and Naturally Occurr<strong>in</strong>g Toxicants for Evaluati<strong>on</strong> by the Jo<strong>in</strong>t FAO/WHO Expert<str<strong>on</strong>g>Committee</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>on</strong> <strong>Food</strong> Additives (JECFA) should do so <strong>in</strong> writ<strong>in</strong>g, preferably by e-mail, to the above address,before 31 January 2012.
