After the Second World War, when he served as a pilot in Coastal Command,<strong>Francis</strong> <strong>Bennion</strong> (FB) went to Balliol College, Oxford. There he obtained his lawdegree and went on to train as a barrister being called to the Bar <strong>of</strong> England andWales in 1951.FB first had a paper published over 65 years ago when he was flying in NorthAfrica. Since then he has been a prolific writer <strong>of</strong> letters, articles and books. TheTimes has published well over 100 <strong>of</strong> his letters and the Daily Telegraph more than50.His major book <strong>Bennion</strong> on Statutory Interpretation is now in its fifth edition andis widely regarded as the leading work on this subject throughout the commonlaw world and beyond.He has also published other books on statute law, a book <strong>of</strong> his poems, a book on‘Blairism’ and a novel about the early days <strong>of</strong> steam railways.FB was involved in drafting the constitution <strong>of</strong> Pakistan in 1956 and wrote theConstitutional Law <strong>of</strong> Ghana after drafting the new constitution there.Use 'scroll bar' on the right to continue

In most cases documents and other data on thesite are accessed via different lists which representdifferent groupings, for instance by subject matter,contents, date or journal in which they werepublished.In the next example we will look at how documentscan be found according to the date on which theywere published or written.
