Medical insurance fees for the long-term programare collected annually and paid on behalf of the student, to provide protection during the10-month school period, as well as any portion of July and August when the student is inVictoria. This arrangement ensures proper insurance coverage for the student.(Temporary cancellation and reinstatement of medical insurance, during absences fromCanada, is subject to an administration fee.)6 Depending on their home country, some students may need their Canadian marks legalized uponcompletion of their VIHSP program. We make a commitment to our students to assist them in achieving success. While we look forward to a good relationship with all of our students, in somecases circumstances change and the following refund policy will apply.· Application Fee: non-refundable· The Homestay Deposit is refunded upon completion and/ordeparture from Victoria International High School Programs.*· If applicable, the Legalization Fee will be deducted from theHomestay Deposit refund.· If the request for a Study Permit is denied by Citizenshipand Immigration Canada (CIC), the total School Fee paidis refundable less $500 administration costs.· If a student cancels before the program begins, two-thirds of the SchoolFee paid is refundable. If a student leaves the program within 30 daysof beginning, half of the School Fee paid is refundable.· After 30 days OR in the event of being required to leave the programbecause of faulty documents, failure to obey program rules or beingcharged with a criminal act in Canada, no refund is provided.* Some conditions apply.www.studyinvictoria.com

VIHSP Application Information2Application Checklist · Academic High School Program/UplandsCampus Academic Transition ProgramStep One: Applying and Letter of AcknowledgementSubmit the following to the VIHSP office:c Completed Application Formc Final report cards for the last two yearsc Photocopy of first page of passportc A recent photographc $250 Application Fee (Academic Program only)Make all cheques and bank drafts payable to Victoria International High School Programs.Applications cannot be processed without all of the above items.Visit www.studyinvictoria.com to apply and pay on-line and submit supportingdocuments electronically.c Make a photocopy of the Application Form for personal records.A Letter of Acknowledgement will be sent to all applicants regarding theapplication status.Step Three: Visa ApplicationUpon receipt of the official Letter of Acceptance Guarantee, pleasedo the following:c Immediately contact the nearest Citizenship and Immigration Canada(CIC) office via telephone, fax, email or mail and request a VisaApplication Form for a Study Permit. Be sure to apply as early aspossible as the visa process can take over eight weeks.c Complete the form and include the Letter of Acceptance Guaranteewith your application package. Wait to receive a reply from the CIC.c Make sure you have an updated passport.Please note: The Victoria International High School Programs has no influenceover the visa application process. Please direct all enquiries regarding your visastatus to your local CIC office.Step Two: Letter of Acceptance GuaranteeUpon receipt of a Letter of Acknowledgement and invoice,please do the following:c Pay all remaining applicable program fees.Once all the above fees have been paid, an official Letter of AcceptanceGuarantee will be issued. A guardianship letter will be issued, if required.

Submit the completed application form and passport copy to ouroffice by fax, mail or email, along with payment in full. We willstart processing your application once we receive your payment.5. Have a valid travel document (a Study Permit is not requiredfor the Short-Term or Camp Victoria Programs).Refund PolicyFees are held pending student placement. Upon confirmation of placementand program acceptance, Victoria International High School Programs doesnot give refunds for short-term programs.
