MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE EMPHASISThe Ma<strong>the</strong>matics and Science area of emphasis is an interdisciplinaryoption for students who desire a broad study in <strong>the</strong> natural sciencedisciplines that include Anthropology, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry,Geology, Physical Science, Physics and Math. The Ma<strong>the</strong>matics and Sciencearea of emphasis will help students prepare for transfer to a universityin potential majors such as math, <strong>the</strong> biological sciences, <strong>the</strong> physicalsciences, and related fields. Courses completed to satisfy <strong>the</strong> area ofemphasis requirements below may also count toward satisfying universitytransfer general education requirements.
