Youth camp 2012KINGS and QUEENS 2012, are youexcited? “YESSS!!!” In this way thelearners started and ended thisyear’s youth camp. The camp was a huge success.Learners from Generaal BeyersNaude Primary School andWesterlig Primary School werespoilt and treated like Kings andQueens of our Heavenly Father. It was a wonderful weekend full offun, new experiences, zip-lining, agame drive, mini-olympics, breakdancers,a fashion parade andmuch more. The children experienced thingsand took part in activities that theyhave never participated in before, for instance having to makeclothes for a king and queen fromnewspapers and then taking partin a fashion show where judgesscored the efforts of the youngdesigners. The children were fascinated bystories from the Bible about kingsand queens, as well as a testimonyfrom Luan of the Freedom Feetbreak dancers. We also spoke separately to theboys and girls about the meaningof being a Godly Man and Woman.Furthermore, they had to come upwith ideas and do a presentationon establishing a charityorganisation that will change theworld. We will definitely be usingsome of their ideas in our futureprojects. We would like to thank everyindividual and organisation thatformed part of this weekend.Without you, we would havebeen unable to make thischildren feel like Kings andQueens. We appreciate everydonation sincerely. There is onlyone thing left to say: We can’twait for next year’s youth camp.Look out for some testimoniesfrom the children about theiryouth camp experiences.
