INDEPENDENCE DAY
The 63rd Independence Day was celebrated on 15.08.2009 at
IMFA Therubali. On this occasion, the School Children and
employees assembled in front of Administration Building and
the National Flag was unfurled by Mr D Senapati, VP(O).
Independence Day was also celebrated at Chinmaya Vidyalaya,
IMFAL Campus High School and IMFAL Primary School, TITC
and UMSL.

BISWAKARMA POOJA
Lord Biswakarma Pooja was celebrated inside the factory
premises on 17.09.2009 with all machinery and tools exposed
to divine blessings. The Cultural troop from Rayagada
presented a Bhajan program in the evening.
DURGA POOJA
Durga Pooja was celebrated from 18.09.2009 to 27.09.2009
inside Shri Laxmi Narayan Temple. The Navaratri celebration
was the star attraction on this occasion. On 27 th evening a
Bhajan program was presented by the Laxmi Narayan Bhajan
Mandali.
FOUNDATION DAY
The foundation Day celebrations started with garlanding the
statue of Late Kunja Bihari Panda, the illustrious father of our
beloved Chairman at 3.00 PM on 26.11.2009. Thereafter, Long
and dedicated service awards (LDSA) were distributed
amongst the employees who had completed 35 years, 30
years, 25 years, 20 years,15 years and 10 years by Mr D
Senapati.
IMFA Group Student Scholarship:
Scholarship of Rs.1000/- each (One time) was given for
securing highest marks in High School Certificate
Examination / Sr Secondary School Examination and
Secondary School Examination 2009 to Mr Mahendra Kumar
Lenka & Mr R. Srinivas S/o Dr R N Murty both from
Chinmaya Vidyalaya and Mr Rama Chandra Melaka from
IMFAL Campus High School.
Scholarship of Rs.500/- each (One time) was given to Ms
Solomi Baliarsingh from IMFAL Primary U P School and Mr
Jyoti Ranjan Palatasingh from IMFAL Campus High School for
securing highest marks in 5th class common examination and
7th Class Common Examination-2009.

Scholarship of Rs.250/- per month each is granted to students
for pursuing Graduation course. This year Mr Prakash Ch
Sahu S/o Sri Srinibas Sahoo of Security Dept and Mr Abhisekh
Hota S/o Sri U S Hota were awarded IMFA Group Student
Scholarship (Recurring category).
T-20 DAY & NIGHT CRICKET
IMFA Therubali under the auspices of Sports Council
participated in the Inter-Industry Twenty20 Cricket
tournament organized by J K Paper Ltd., J K Pur.
INTER INDUSTRY BADMINTON MEET
IMFA,Therubali participated Inter Industry Badminton Meet
organized by J K Papers Ltd. at J K Pur.

IMFA INTER UNIT BADMINTON MEET
The inter unit badminton tournament was organized by IMFA
Sports Council on 19.12.2009 & 20.12.2009 with the
participation of CHQ, CDR, MINES, ORTEL and THV teams.
The event was inaugurated by Mr D Senapati. Mr R R
Mohanty, Sr Manager D (HR) also attended the event and
encouraged the participants. CHQ team retained the
Championship title defeating THV team in the final. Mr.
Senapati gave away the running trophies to the winner and
runners-up teams. He also distributed mementos to all the
players. On 20.12.2009 IMFA Club organized a picnic for club
members, their families and the players from all the sites.
Entertaining games, funfairs and musical chair for the players
were organized on this occasion. Mr Ashok Padhi, Secretary
of the club coordinated the picnic successfully.
