Perseverance, group spirit and talent
were decisive for her to become a
basketball player, besides the support
of her family support, especially her
mother, Carmen. She began
practicing sports at the “Centro
Esportivo Miécimo da Silva” in
Campo Grande, Rio de Janeiro,
training football, volleyball and
athletics (she practiced discus
throwing and shot put). One day she
was called to play basketball and
settled for it. With sports she was
able to finish High School and today
she studies Physiotherapy.
