José Carlos started to practice
athletics at school and soon after
became part of the Codo City Hall
Project at his hometown in
Maranhão. He participated of the
Brazilian Team at the Beijing
Olympic Games in 2008, reached
the second phase of the 100m and
finished in the 28th position. He
also participated of the 4x100m
team that arrived in the 4th position in China.
