He started in athletics 7 years ago as part of a sport program for youngsters of his hometown. Before that, he tried his luck in football, playing for the Boa Esporte Club, without success. He attends a Business Administration course. He qualified for the Olympic Games, with the mark of 17.39m, in a São Paulo event last April. He dedicated this achievement to his father who had died four months before. His father’s passing almost made him give up competitions. athletics

He participated of the Brazilian Team at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, reached the second phase of the 100m and finished in the 28th position. He also participated of the 4x100m team that arrived in the 4th position in China. athletics
