Nine times Brazilian Olympic wrestling
champion between 2001 and 2011,
Joice loved the experience of
participating in two editions of the
Pan American Games - she won the
bronze medal at Guadalajara in 2011.
She plans to use what she learned
from these competitions to go as far
as she can go in London 2012. She
started fighting jiu-jitsu at 16 as a
participant of a social project
developed in the Quintino community,
in Rio de Janeiro, but three years later
discovered the olympic wrestling and
fell in love with it.
