Ricardinho will compete for the
second time at the Olympic Games
and hopes that Brazil conquers in
London the gold medal as it did in
Athens in 2004. He began playing
volleyball at the age of 9 by doctor’s
orders after the removal of a benign
tumor from his left leg. In 1992, he
was South American children/youth
champion and in 1995 was elected
the best setter of the Malaysia Youth
World Championship. He was first
called for the adult national team in
1997. He loves suspense movies.
