In London Lucimar will participate
in her third edition of the Olympic
Games. She started athletics
training at the age of 13. Before
that age she practiced volleyball,
basketball and handball; she even
tried jumping before deciding for
the 400m event. She has a
hairdresser diploma. She had an
outstanding participation when
she won the bronze medal at the
Santo Domingo Pan American
Games, resisting well to the close
attack of the Mexican runner Ana
Guevara.
