She started to practice volleyball
at the age of 13 at school, in the
Irajá neighborhood, in Rio de
Janeiro. In the following year she
was playing as a hitter for the
Flamengo club. Since 1998 she
stands out in the libero position.
She was first summoned for the
national team in 2001 and, since
2005, holds this position. She loves
the beach, is a fan of the
Flamengo football team and
enjoys resting at Buzios.
