She wanted to be a swimmer but,
because of a scholarship, she
decided to play volleyball. She began
as a hitter at school, in Recife, but
became a setter at the Osasco club.
In 2003, she was a youth world
champion. Two years later, however,
she had a heart dysfunction. With
her family’s support she overcame
her health problems and returned to
the courts. In 2009, she joined the
principal national team. Danielle
wants to attend a Nutrition
graduation course at the university.
She has five Super League titles.
