During her childhood, under doctor’s
orders and her mother’s will, Pamela
practiced ballet and swimming. In the
pools, she tried to reach the qualifying
index for the Pan American Games in the
800m, without success. The close contact
with triathlon athletes at the club where
she practiced swimming, made her wish
to practice triathlon and, in 2007, she
began to dedicate herself to it. On
competition days she likes to wake up
listening to fast music with high volume
to speed up her body rhythm. The
“capixaba” girl lives in Portugal to train
for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
