Gustavo started to dedicate himself to
table tennis at the age of 12 years under
the influence of his brother. Between
2006 and 2010 he lived in France and
trained and played with athletes from
different schools which enabled him to
achieve a great evolution in the world
ranking. He participated in the Beijing
Olympic Games 2008. Four years before
an injury on his spinal column left him
inactive for six months making it
impossible for him to attend the Athens
Olympic Games. His present objective is
to be included among the 40 best
players of the world.
