After London she hopes to participate in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. She is proud to belong to a family of athletes: her brother Caio plays Futsal at the Sporting Club of Portugal. Caroline also played Futsal before dedicating herself to table tennis. At 12, still in the young children’s category she surprised everyone when she won the title of the“Paulista” Ranking for youngsters. taBle tennis

She lived for three years with a Brazilian family and established residence in São Bernardo do Campo where she met Hugo Hoyama who became her coach. She simply loves “churrasco, feijoada” (barbecue, black beans), the country and is a Palmeiras fan. She spent the year of 2011 anxiously waiting for her 18th birthday so she could request a Brazilian nationality which was granted only in May of 2012. Now she can defend Brazil in international competitions. taBle tennis
