Felipe won the gold medal in the
50m breaststroke at a short pool
in 2010 weighing 106kg. In order
to better prepare himself for the
100m breaststroke event he lost
more than 10kg working under
the orientation of nutritionists to
lose weight and gain power. He
has been a São Paulo table tennis
champion before dedicating
himself exclusively to swimming,
which he started at 3 years of age
in Suzano, SP.
