Poliana is a Liberal Arts graduate. A fan
of foreign romantic literature, she
usually reads three books a month. But
it was the cinema that had a
fundamental role in her life: she
started dating coach Ricardo Cintra – to
whom she has been married for the
last seven years - at a movie session
featuring the picture “Legends of the
Fall”. In 2005, she began competing in
aquatic marathon events and overcame
her fear of the sea when she won the
Forts Crossing event. She moved to Rio
de Janeiro, this year, in order to better
prepare herself for London 2012.
