She is the bowman. Ana started sailing when she was 11 years old at the junior school of the “Veleiros do Sul” club. Before that she practiced ballet and swimming. She began to compete together with Fernanda at the end of 2008 and in 2009 they won the Brazilian and South American Championships. To secure a place for London they had to defeat Isabel Swan and Martine Grael at the Princess Sophie Trophy, in April. sailing

Before that, Fernanda competed at the Athens 2004 and Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. She began sailing at a summer camp at the Jangadeiros club in Porto Alegre. She is a Business Administration graduate. She also practices surfing and tennis. She qualified for London with the 11th place at the Princess Sophie Trophy. sailing
