Felipe Kitadai joined the Brazilian
national team in 2009 and his
success is the result of a special
training carried out in São Paulo,
specifically developed for
lightweight athletes. At
Guadalajara 2011, he ended a long
period of 24 years without gold
medals for Brazil in this category
at Pan American Games. In 2010,
on the journey towards the Rome
World Cup title Felipe gained high
recognition when he surpassed
the three-time Olympic champion
Tadahiro Nomura from Japan.
