Aline went to the Guadalajara 2011 Pan
American Games as a reserve athlete for
the 4x400m event. The same thing
occurred at the Daegu World
Championship in South Korea. She
started her sports journey training at the
Salgueiro Olympic Village in Rio de
Janeiro and discovered in sports a good
way to overcome barriers developed
during a difficult childhood. At the time
of the Rio 2007 Pan American Games she
was working as an office assistant, went
to night school and trained in the
mornings. She is now a Navy Officer and
obtained expressive results in 2011.
