Renan began to ride at the age of
6 in São Roque, but before that he
played with wood horses. When
he qualified for the Rio 2007 Pan
American Games he had only
attended three training sessions a
week, but this didn’t stop him
from conquering the ninth place
at the individual event and from
collaborating with the team to
secure a place for the Beijing
Olympic Games. He has
participated in a series of events in
Europe in preparation for the
London Games.
