In 2009 he reached the 3rd place and, in 2002, was the first Brazilian to climb the podium at a Grand Prix event. He is a Physical Education graduate. He competed in Athens 2004 (9th ) and Beijing 2008 (24th ). When his diving career ends he wants to continue working with sport, investing in the beginners category. He plays the “cavaquinho” (small guitar-like instrument) and loves “pagode”, a Brazilian music similar to samba. diving

When he noticed that he enjoyed the modality, he was already competing despite getting very tired with the repetition of the training sessions. In 2002, he was the World Youth vice champion but almost had his career impaired by a disk hernia. In 2009 he conquered the 9th place in the world ranking. His objective is to stay among the 10 best of the world. diving
