Juliana participated in the last three
editions of the Olympic Games (in Beijing
she didn’t compete on the 3m
springboard) and in the last four Pan
American Games – she won the first
medal for Brazil in the diving modality in
this competition. She was also the first
Brazilian diver to reach the finals at the
World Championship in Fukuoka (Japan)
in 2000. Mother of Pedro, a three yearold,
she is a graduate in Physiotherapy.
Her parents and brother also have
competed in the modality and Juliana
chose to do the same at 10 - before that
she practiced artistic gymnastics.
