Two years ago Squel noticed she had
no competition in Brazil. The girls
who competed with her in the basic
competitions one by one gave up the
sport modality and she saw it was
time to make a decision. At 17 she
took a plane to Orlando, Florida
(USA) where her former coach
trained a cycling team. She learned to
take care of herself and became
more mature. She had an accident on
her first series at the Guadalajara Pan
American Games in 2011, hit her head
and was hospitalized but nothing
serious was found.
