46 Health and liability insurance Insurances Citizens of countries outside EU/EEA and the Nordic Countries are not covered by public health insurance during the first 6 weeks of their stay in Denmark, after which they will be covered automatically by the Danish Health Service. Non-EU/EEA citizens are advised to take out a private six- week health insurance in their home country to provide interim coverage. Furthermore, each student in the MSc programs is recommended to take out liability insurance. EU/EEA citizens staying in Denmark who have a residence permit and an E-104/E-111 form from their home country are also covered by the Danish Health Service. Citizens from the Nordic Countries are covered automatically by the Danish National Health Service. The campus is 1 km2 in area, with 396,000 m2 of floor space in buildings for research, teaching, administration and service. Scion-DTU in Hørsholm has additional buildings totaling 125,000 m2 of floor space for research and development. PF is represented in the Governing Board, the Academic Council and all the staff-student committees within the degree programs. PF manages the buddy program. Each international student can be assigned an experienced student – a buddy. The buddy is responsible for successfully adapting the international student to the way of living in Denmark and to studying at DTU. PF also manages a similar program for Danish students at DTU. The S-Huset (the student house) is the center for most activities. In addition to being the PF headquarters, it is a place for students to relax or study. Especially important is the student bar Kælderbaren, which organizes an international student evening every Tuesday and live music concerts every Friday.
