Mae’rplant yn meithrin ymdeimlad o berthyn iGymru a dylent ddeall treftadaeth,llenyddiaeth a chelfyddydau Cymru ynogystal â’r iaith.Yng Nghyfnod Allweddol 2 (7-11 oed) mae’rdisgyblion yn cael cyfleoedd i ddatblygu achymwyso gwybodaeth a dealltwriaeth onodweddion diwylliannol, economaidd,amgylcheddol, hanesyddol a ieithyddol Cymrutrwy amrywiol weithgareddau a phrofiadau.Pupils in the Foundation Phase (3-7 years)develop an understanding of the culturalidentity unique to Wales across all Areasof Learning through an integratedapproach. Pupils become increasinglyaware of the traditions and celebrationsthat are important aspects of thecultures within Wales.In Key Stage 2 (7-11yrs) all pupils are givenopportunities to develop and applyknowledge and understanding of thecultural, economic, environmental,historical and linguistic characteristics ofWales through a variety of experiencesand activities.31
