Delir â damweiniaubach yn yr ysgol, ond petai damwainddifrifol yn digwydd, fe eirâ'r plentyn at feddyg.Mae'n angenrheidiolfelly bod rhieni yn hysbysu'rysgol am unrhywnewid mewn cyfeiriad neurif ffôn. Eachpupil is allocated to a class for thepurpose of registration and thisenables the class teacher to bepersonally responsible for thepastoral care of his/her pupils. Theschool keeps a record of the telephonenumbers of parents and in case of accidents,should a child require medical treatment, everyeffort is made to contact parents first, dependingon the seriousness of the case. Minoraccidents will be dealt with by membersof staff, but in the case of themore serious accident, the pupilswill be taken to a doctor. In all caseswhere serious accidents occur full detailswill be forwarded to the Risk Assessmentunit of the Local EducationAuthority.On each school day a member of staffis on duty fifteen minutes before the commencementand for the same period at the endof the school day, to supervise theand ensure their safe departure from theschool premises. During playtime, achildrenmemberof teaching staff as well as a member of thesupport staff is on duty in theplayground,or in the case of inclement weather, in theschool. During the lunchperiod, supervisionis carried out by the meals’ supervisors.29
