On behalf of everybody at Severtson Land and Cattle I would like to welcome you to our 16th annual bull sale.
The demand for quality bulls never changes. The choices you make this spring during bull buying season will affect your herd for
years to come. Now more than ever a high quality bull will help give you the edge when it comes to marketing your calf crop. The
demand for Angus Gelbvieh and Simmental cross replacement females has never been better and we are confident that this offering
will meet if not exceed all your expectations. Please feel free to stop by and view at the bulls anytime prior to the sale.
Our goal has not changed... it remains to produce sound functional breeding stock that will meet the needs of both commercial
and seedstock producers. This year 80% of the bulls will be coming two year olds. As of this spring all of our cows will be calving
starting May 1. We feel the older bulls will service more cows and stand up better for our customers. They have been developed
at home again this year and have been grown out slowly on grass and a very high forage ration, we feel this is on target to
make sure you will have sound useful bulls now and in the future.
We are pleased to be working with Decka Farms again this year. There will be
EPD’s performance data and scrotal measurements on the bulls available on
sale day. All bulls will be veterinary inspected and semen tested prior to delivery.
