v) Total fresh water requirement from Gujarat Water Infrastructure Limited should notexceed 1520 m 3 /day and prior permission should be obtained from the concernedAuthority.vi)vii)Industrial effluent shall not exceed 336 m 3 /day. As proposed, Process effluent fromvenyl sulphone after recovery of sodium sulphate shall be sent to incinerator. HighTDS effluent stream should be passed through stripper followed by MEE.Condensate and low COD/Low TDS effluent stream should be treated in ETP.Treated water shall be recycled/reused within factory premises. ‘Zero’ effluentdischarge should be adopted and no effluent will be discharged outside thepremises.All the solvent storage tanks should be connected with vent condensers withchilled brine circulation.viii)ix)As proposed, high calorific value waste should be sent to cement industries. ETPsludge, process inorganic, evaporation salt and incinerator salt should be disposedoff to the TSDF. The fly ash from boiler should be sold to brickmanufacturers/cement industry.Incinerator alongwith its pollution control device shall be designed as per CPCBguidelines.x) The company should obtain Authorization for collection, storage and disposal ofhazardous waste under the Hazardous Waste (Management, Handling and Trans-Boundary Movement) Rules, 2008 and amended as on date for management ofHazardous wastes and prior permission from GPCB should be obtained fordisposal of solid / hazardous waste in the TSDF. Measures should be taken forfire-fighting facilities in case of emergency.xi) Solvent management should be as follows :‣ Reactor should be connected to chilled brine condenser system‣ Reactor and solvent handling pump should have mechanical seals to preventleakages.‣ The condensers should be provided with sufficient HTA and residence time so asto achieve more than 95% recovery‣ Solvents should be stored in a separate space specified with all safety measures.‣ Proper earthing should be provided in all the electrical equipment wherever solventhandling is done.‣ Entire plant where solvents are used should be flame proof. The solvent storagetanks should be provided with breather valve to prevent losses.xv)As proposed, green belt should be developed in 33% of the total plant area.xvi) Occupational health surveillance of the workers should be done on a regular basisand records maintained as per the Factories Act.xvii) All the commitments made to the public during public hearing/public consultationmeeting held on 1 st February, 2011 should be satisfactorily implemented andadequate budget provision should be made accordingly.
