vii) All the solvent storage tanks should be connected with vent condensers with chilledbrine circulation.viii) As proposed, process organic residue and spent carbon should be sent to cementindustries. ETP sludge, process inorganic & evaporation salt should be disposed offto the TSDF. The fly ash from boiler should be sold to brick manufacturers/cementindustry.ix) The company should obtain Authorization for collection, storage and disposal ofhazardous waste under the Hazardous Waste (Management, Handling and Trans-Boundary Movement) Rules, 2008 and amended as on date for management ofHazardous wastes and prior permission from APPCB should be obtained for disposalof solid / hazardous waste in the TSDF. Measures should be taken for fire-fightingfacilities in case of emergency.x) Boiler ash should be stored separately as per CPCB guidelines so that it should notadversely affect the air quality, becoming air borne by wind or water regime duringrainy season by flowing alongwith the storm water. Direct exposure of workers to flyash & dust should be avoided.xi) Solvent management should be as follows :‣ Reactor should be connected to chilled brine condenser system‣ Reactor and solvent handling pump should have mechanical seals to preventleakages.‣ The condensers should be provided with sufficient HTA and residence time so asto achieve more than 95% recovery‣ Solvents should be stored in a separate space specified with all safety measures.‣ Proper earthing should be provided in all the electrical equipment whereversolvent handling is done.‣ Entire plant where solvents are used should be flame proof. The solvent storagetanks should be provided with breather valve to prevent losses.xiii) Green belt should be developed in 2693 m 2 out of total land 7611 m 2 .xiv)Occupational health surveillance of the workers should be done on a regularbasis and records maintained as per the Factories Act.2.3.7. Expansion of Specialty Chemicals Manufacturing Unit at Plot No. 166/1-3,171/1, 172,167, 168, Village Padana, Gandhidham, District Kutch, Gujarat by M/s KutchChemicals (TOR to EC).
