2. Bag filter alongwith stack of adequate height should be provided to saw dust/petcoke fired boiler.3. In plant, control measures for checking fugitive emissions from all the vulnerablesources should be provided. Fugitive emissions should be controlled by providingclosed storage, closed handling & conveyance of chemicals/materials, multi cycloneseparator and water sprinkling system. Dust suppression system including watersprinkling system should be provided at loading and unloading areas to control dustemissions. Fugitive emissions in the work zone environment, product, raw materialsstorage area etc. should be regularly monitored and records should be maintained.The emissions should conform to the limits imposed by PPCB.4. Total water requirement from small industries & export corporation Ltd. watersupply should not exceed 12 m 3 /day and prior permission should be obtained fromthe concerned Authority.5. As proposed, industrial wastewater should be treated in ETP based on SAFFreactor followed by dual media and activated carbon filters. Treated water should berecycled/reused within factory premises.6. Solvent management should be as follows :i. Reactor should be connected to chilled brine condenser systemii. Reactor and solvent handling pump should have mechanical seals to preventleakages.iii. The condensers should be provided with sufficient HTA and residence time so asto achieve more than 95% recoveryiv. Solvents should be stored in a separate space specified with all safety measures.v. Proper earthing should be provided in all the electrical equipment whereversolvent handling is done.vi. Entire plant should be flame proof. The solvent storage tanks should be providedwith breather valve to prevent losses.7. Hazardous chemicals should be stored in tanks in tank farms, drums, carboys etc.Flame arresters should be provided on tank farm. Solvent transfer should be bypumps.8. Training should be imparted to all employees on safety and health aspects ofchemicals handling. Pre-employment and routine periodical medical examinations forall employees should be undertaken on regular basis. Training to all employees onhandling of chemicals should be imparted. Occupational health surveillance of theworkers should be done on a regular basis and records maintained as per theFactories Act.9. Green belt should be developed in 33 % of the plant area. Selection of plant speciesshould be as per the CPCB guidelines.10. The unit shall carry out risk assessment within three months and report submitted tothe Ministry’s regional office. The company should comply with the recommendationsmade in the risk assessment report.
