Ltd.- regarding TORsThe project authorities gave a detailed presentation on the salient features of theproject and proposed environmental protection measures to be undertaken along withthe draft Terms of Reference for preparation of EIA/EMP report. The steel plants arelisted at S.No. 3(a) in primary metallurgical industry under Category ‘A’of the Schedule ofEIA notification 2006 and appraised by the Expert Appraisal Committee (Industry) ofMoEF.M/s RBSSN Ferrous Industries Pvt. Ltd. have proposed for Integrated Steel Plant(0.6 MTPA) &CPP (130 MW) near Hampapatnam Village Hagaribommanahalli Taluk,Bellary District, Karnataka. The total project area is 531.22 acres of which 175.96 acresis acquired and greenbelt will be developed in 175.4 acres. No national park/wild lifesanctuary/ecologically sensitive area is located within 10 km radius. Nandi Banda RF isat one corner adjacent to SE boundary of the project site. Tungabhadra Reservoir is at adistance of 3.5 km from the project site. Total cost of the project is Rs. 1,664 Crores.
