The additional power requirement of 60 MW will be sourced from the MPSEB. Allmajor sources of air pollution (Kiln, Raw mill, Coal mill, Cement Grinding andtransportation) of proposed Line II will be provided with Bag Houses, Bag filters, ESPs tomaintain the PM emission level within the prescribed limits. Water requirement for theproposed Line II will be 1,350 KLD and will be sourced from ground water. Permissionfor ground water withdrawal was obtained from Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA)vide their letter no.21-4 (53)/NCR/CGWA/2009-692 dated 23.09.09. No industrialwastewater will be generated from the Cement Plant. Domestic wastewater generatedfrom Cement plant / Colony will be treated in STP and treated water will be used forgreen belt development / Horticulture activities. Rain water harvesting will be practiced atplant and colony area. No solid waste will be generated from the cement manufacturingprocess. Dust collected from various pollution control equipments will be recycled backto the process. STP Sludge will be utilized as manure for green belt development withinthe plant premises.The committee noted that environmental clearance for the existing integratedcement plant was accorded on 23.3.2011 and the plant is yet to be commissioned.Theproponent shall submit one month data of the existing operated unit at the time ofobtaining environmental clearance for the proposed expansion.After detailed deliberations, the Committee prescribed following TORs forundertaking detailed EIA/EMP study:1. Executive summary of the project2. Photographs of the existing and proposed plant area.3. Compliance to the conditions stipulated in the Environmental Clearance /NOC granted by the SPCB.4. A certified report of the status of compliance of the conditions stipulated in theenvironmental clearance and Consent to Operate for the ongoing I existingoperation of the project by the Regional Office of the Ministry of Environmentand Forests and SPCB.
